Easton Public Market marks 10 years with weeklong celebration

Easton Public Market 10 year anniversary April 2026

The Easton Public Market is celebrating a decade as a Lehigh Valley staple with a week of festivities beginning April 17, coinciding with its nomination for a major national award.

The anniversary event, which runs through April 25, features a lineup of live music, family programming, and wellness experiences. The celebration marks the market’s growth since opening in 2016 as a hub for local food and small business entrepreneurs.

“For 10 years, Easton Public Market has been more than a place to grab a meal — it’s been a place to gather, celebrate, discover local makers and to gather as a community,” said Jared Mast, executive director of the Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP), which owns and operates the facility.

The milestone comes as the market competes in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Public Market in America. Voting remains open through April 13, with winners scheduled to be announced April 22.

The anniversary schedule includes:

  • April 17: A kickoff celebration featuring the Acoustic Kitchen music series from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the launch of the “Taste of the Market” vendor passport.
  • April 18: Activities including the Winter Farmers’ Market on Northampton Street and a “Market After Hours” event.
  • April 19: Community yoga followed by the Sunday Songs Songwriter Series.
  • April 22: Drag Bingo from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • April 24: The Fourth Friday Plaza Party and a “Community Cash Mob” to support local vendors.
  • April 25: A culminating cake and coffee celebration at 10 a.m., followed by the announcement of passport raffle winners.

Since its inception, the market has served as a launchpad for local businesses and a year-round venue for community connection. Joe Dimeck, a GEDP organizer, noted that the anniversary is as much about the future as it is the past.

“This milestone belongs to the entire community,” Dimeck said. “We’re excited to celebrate where we’ve been — and even more excited about where we’re going together.”
