Easton Garden Works is inviting the community to trade winter coats for dancing shoes with Garden Groove, a winter dance party set inside its heated greenhouse on Jan. 18.
The all-ages, sober-friendly event will run from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lower Hackett Community Garden, offering a warm, plant-filled setting for a midwinter celebration.
Garden Groove will feature a lineup of Lehigh Valley DJs spinning upbeat music throughout the afternoon and evening. Organizers say the event is designed to give residents a chance to connect and recharge before the next growing season begins.
In addition to dancing, attendees can enjoy hot chocolate and light snacks, visit a craft corner and take guided walks through the urban farm and microforest. While the event is open to all ages, organizers note that some music selections may include explicit lyrics.
The party is hosted by Easton Garden Works, a local nonprofit focused on community gardening, urban farming and environmental education. Staff and volunteers will be available to share information about volunteer opportunities and upcoming programs.
Admission is free, with a suggested $10 donation to help cover DJ fees and event costs. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.
