Call opens for speakers at 2026 Eastern PA Greenways & Trails Summit

Organizers of the 2026 Eastern Pennsylvania Greenways & Trails Summit are inviting proposals from speakers and industry professionals for this year’s event, scheduled for Sept. 16–18 in Bethlehem.

The annual summit will bring together trail developers, planners, and community leaders from across the region for three days of presentations, workshops, and discussions focused on greenway and trail development.

The call for proposals, announced by the planning committee, seeks presentations that explore a range of topics, including policy and planning, community access, funding strategies, and local heritage initiatives. Organizers said they will also consider submissions outside those categories and encourage creative approaches.

Sessions are expected to run 60 to 90 minutes, with presenters able to choose formats that best suit their material.

The event will be held in the Lehigh Valley, highlighting both the region’s natural landscapes and the downtown area of Bethlehem, offering attendees opportunities for collaboration, networking, and professional development.

Proposals must be submitted by April 24.

This year’s summit will carry the theme “Celebrate Paths Through Time,” aligning with the national America 250commemoration.

Organizers said the gathering aims to showcase progress in trail development while fostering new ideas and partnerships across the greenways community.
