Easton will heat up Super Bowl Sunday as the annual Easton Chili Cookoff returns to the Bank Street Annex (316 Northampton St, Easton, PA 18042) on Sunday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Founded in 1994 at Pearly Baker’s Alehouse, the longtime community event will once again take place at the Bank Street Annex and, for the first time, will be hosted as a collaboration between the Greater Easton Development Partnership and the Bank Street Annex team.

The cookoff invites local restaurant chefs to showcase their signature chili recipes in a friendly competition for Easton bragging rights and a cash prize. Participating restaurants will compete for both People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice awards, offering attendees a range of flavors from traditional beef-based recipes to spicier and more inventive creations.

Organizers describe the event as a lively pre-game celebration, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to sample dishes and gather with the community ahead of the Super Bowl later in the day.

“This event is all about friendly competition and community pride, and of course, delicious chili,” said Jared Mast, executive director of the Greater Easton Development Partnership. “I’m excited to return as a judge this year, and appreciate the Bank Street Annex team bringing us on board for what will be a new fundraiser for GEDP this year.”

Proceeds from the event will support the Greater Easton Development Partnership.
