The Greater Easton Development Partnership is launching a new free transit program called All Aboard Easton. Operating through the Easton Main Street Initiative and the West Ward Community Initiative, the program will provide complimentary trolley transportation every Saturday from July 25 through August 15.

The service is designed to connect residents living in the West Ward and South Side neighborhoods directly to the downtown business district. Organizers created the route to eliminate common community barriers such as lack of transportation, parking difficulties, and travel costs.

Passengers can board the trolley between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at designated stops including Paxinosa Elementary School, the Fourth Street Garage, Cheston Elementary School, the Neighborhood Center, and the Easton Farmers’ Market. Riders will receive wristbands upon boarding to grant them priority access on their return trips later in the day.

Volunteers will ride along the route to distribute maps, hand out local guides, and answer questions about downtown businesses and attractions. Julie VanOsdol, the main street manager for the Easton Main Street Initiative, stated that the program addresses direct feedback from residents who felt the downtown area was difficult to reach.

The schedule provides direct access to the weekly Easton Farmers’ Market, helping residents with limited transportation reach fresh, locally grown food and regional artisan vendors. West Ward Community Initiative manager Jacob Behler noted that while the partnership is known for regional tourism events like PA Bacon Fest, the organization is also focused on creating access for local citizens.

This summer initiative expands upon a previous transit pilot established during last year’s Easton Winter Village event. Route schedules and a complete list of stop locations are available on the Easton Main Street website.
