Kerry held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 30, 2026, to celebrate the official opening of its new coffee extraction facility in Bethlehem. The opening marks the global taste and nutrition company’s first manufacturing site in Pennsylvania.
The facility features independent hot and cold brew extraction lines designed to develop natural coffee flavors and concentrate solutions. These custom coffee ingredients will be used in ready-to-drink beverages, alcoholic drinks, ice cream, and savory sauces.
The site utilizes High-Brix concentration technology and ambient shipping to deliver shelf-stable coffee flavorings without requiring refrigeration. The lower-carbon production methods reduce carbon emissions by up to 61 percent compared to direct concentrated fresh beans and cut environmental transport impact.
The Bethlehem plant uses natural coffee ingredients sourced to align with USDA Organic, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, and Café Femenino certification standards. Foodservice operators and commercial beverage clients can access these custom coffee extracts directly from the facility to expand craft coffee menu offerings.
Kerry is a global food and nutrition company that first announced plans for the Bethlehem development in September 2025. The company operates manufacturing locations worldwide to supply taste and nutrition ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers.
