ArtsQuest will host the 13th annual SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival on Friday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 24, bringing improvisational comedy teams from across the country and around the world to Bethlehem for two days of nonstop laughter.
Friday’s headliner will be Connor Ratliff presents The Acting Class, a one-person improv show disguised as an acting class, created by the host of the Dead Eyes podcast. Saturday’s headliner is Opening Night: The Improvised Musical, a Broadway-style musical created on the spot based on audience suggestions. Saturday’s post-headliner, Barko, features award-winning physical theater artists Nick Gillette, Pim Van and Sam Miller performing slapstick improv drawn from everyday life.
The festival also features 39 additional improv teams from the Lehigh Valley, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Pittsburgh and beyond.
Two-day and single-day passes are available at ArtsQuest.org. Attendees ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Now in its 13th year, the SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival promises high-energy, unpredictable performances celebrating the art of improvisation for both comedy enthusiasts and casual audiences.
