ArtsQuest and Embassy Bank for the Lehigh Valley are accepting submissions for the 16th annual “Our Hometown Heroes” tribute, which will transform the ArtsQuest Campus at SteelStacks into a living memorial honoring local service members.

From May 22 through July 6, the SteelStacks campus will be draped with banners featuring photographs of military members from the Lehigh Valley as a public display of appreciation for their service and sacrifice. Since the program began in 2011, more than 1,800 images representing all branches of the U.S. military have been displayed.

ArtsQuest will accept the first 200 photo submissions, with a deadline of March 31. Digital images may be uploaded beginning March 1 and must be high-resolution JPEG, TIFF, bitmap, or PDF files. Both color and black-and-white photographs are accepted.

Hard copies may be dropped off at any Embassy Bank location or at the ArtsQuest Center at 101 Founders Way in Bethlehem. Submitted hard copies will be returned promptly to the drop-off location.

Each banner will include the service member’s photo, rank, branch, dates of service, and hometown. Images submitted in previous years will automatically be included in the 2026 display.

David M. Lobach, chairman, president, and CEO of Embassy Bank for the Lehigh Valley, said the program continues to unite the community through shared recognition of those who have served.

“This program honors the courage and sacrifices of the men and women who have served our community and our country, while celebrating the spirit of service that unites the Lehigh Valley,” Lobach said in a statement.

The “Our Hometown Heroes” banners will be featured during the Memorial Day celebration, May 23–25 at SteelStacks, which will include live music and the annual “A Time to Remember” ceremony. Additional details about 2026 Memorial Day events will be announced later this spring.
