Penn’s Peak (325 Maury Rd, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229) will host “An Evening With Emerson, Lake & Palmer” on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at 8 p.m., bringing the legendary progressive rock trio back together in a groundbreaking multimedia performance.
Created by surviving drummer Carl Palmer with the full cooperation of the estates of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, the show combines live performances by Palmer and his ELP Legacy band — Paul Bielatowicz on guitar and Simon Fitzpatrick on bass — with video performances of Emerson and Lake from the band’s sold-out 1992 Royal Albert Hall concert. The result is a fully synchronized, immersive experience that re-creates the classic Emerson, Lake & Palmer sound for modern audiences.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer, known informally as ELP, formed in London in 1970 and became one of the most influential progressive rock bands of the 1970s. With nine RIAA-certified gold albums in the U.S. and an estimated 48 million records sold worldwide, the band was known for blending classical, jazz, and symphonic rock elements, driven by Emerson’s flamboyant keyboard work and Lake’s distinctive vocals and acoustic songs.
The band originally disbanded in 1979, with several partial reunions in the 1980s and a full reunion from 1991 to 1998. Emerson and Lake both passed away in 2016, leaving Palmer as the sole surviving member.
