Easton Soccer Social brings free outdoor match watch parties to downtown venues

Downtown Easton is preparing for a series of free outdoor watch parties this summer called the Easton Soccer Social. The community event series is organized by Lehigh Valley 250 in partnership with the Greater Easton Development Partnership and the Easton Public Market. The gatherings are scheduled to begin in June and will focus on broadcasting matches from the world’s biggest soccer tournament.

Regular viewings will take place from Wednesday through Sunday behind the Easton Public Market in the Air Products Plaza. The outdoor venue will bring local sports fans together to watch the global tournament in a community setting featuring food and drinks. Organizers plan to create an environment where community members can gather to watch soccer while visiting and supporting local businesses in the downtown district.

The multi-week event series will expand to additional downtown Easton locations for specific tournament rounds in July. Quarterfinal matches are scheduled to broadcast on July 9 at Scott Park ahead of the Live At The Falls event. Viewings will continue on July 10 in front of the Bachmann Public House, followed by an outdoor broadcast in the Mesa Lot during the local Heritage Day festivities on July 11.

The summer soccer program will conclude on July 19 with a championship finale block party hosted on the 300 block of Northampton Street. The final tournament match will be broadcast live, transforming the street in front of the Easton Public Market into a public viewing area. The Philadelphia-based brass band Snacktime will return to Easton to perform a multi-set concert before and after the final match broadcast.

According to event organizers, additional match schedules, exact viewing times, and event updates will be announced in the coming weeks. The public can access official calendar drops and specific event details by following the social media pages for the Greater Easton Development Partnership, the Easton Main Street Initiative, and the Easton Public Market.
