Penn’s Peak (325 Maury Rd, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229) announced that George Thorogood & The Destroyers will bring The Baddest Show on Earth tour to the venue on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 8 p.m.

With more than five decades on the road, over 8,000 live performances and upwards of 15 million albums sold, Thorogood and his longtime band have earned a reputation as one of rock’s most enduring and reliable live acts. Dubbed “The All-American rock & roll party band” by Goldmine Magazine, the group continues to deliver high-energy shows anchored in blues-driven rock and swagger.

The 2026 tour marks the band’s 53rd year of performing, a milestone Thorogood approaches with characteristic intensity. Known for hits such as “Bad to the Bone,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,” “Move It On Over,” “Who Do You Love?” and “I Drink Alone,” George Thorogood & The Destroyers helped define classic rock radio while maintaining a strong presence on streaming platforms worldwide.

Since emerging in 1976 as a breakout independent act, the band has remained a fixture of American rock culture, from MTV-era dominance in the 1980s and 1990s to landmark appearances at Live Aid and Saturday Night Live. In recent years, Thorogood has toured with artists including John Fogerty, ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar, reinforcing the group’s reputation as a formidable live draw.

Thorogood has also received numerous honors, including the B.B. King Award from the Montreal International Jazz Festival, honorary membership in the Bo Diddley Centennial Committee, and an invitation to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. Despite the accolades, the mission remains unchanged. “When you’ve got the best job in the world,” Thorogood has said, “you can’t ever rest on your laurels. That’s rock & roll.”
