The Bethlehem Palette Club will present its 2026 Members Exhibition at the Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Gallery from May 20 to June 28. A closing reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The exhibition showcases a variety of media, subjects, and styles from artists throughout the Lehigh Valley. Awards for the show were selected by Jim Lukens, a Quakertown-based artist and instructor known for his plein air landscapes and studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
The Bethlehem Palette Club was founded on June 11, 1947, by nine artists with the objective of stimulating public interest in the fine arts. The organization held its first “Wash Line Exhibit” in November of that year with the permission of then-Mayor Robert Pfeifle. In 1968, the group was incorporated as a nonprofit and assumed its current name.
Today, the club has expanded its membership across the Lehigh Valley and beyond, providing year-round opportunities for education and exhibition. Regular activities include monthly demonstrations at Edgeboro Moravian Church, weekly plein air sessions during warmer months, and indoor live model portrait sessions in the winter. The club also recently established an “Open Studio” program at Lower Saucon Seidersville Hall for members to work on independent projects.
The Rotunda Gallery is located at 10 E. Church St. and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on weekends and holidays.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. More information regarding the club’s activities can be found on its website and social media pages.
