Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre in Orefield will host a paranormal double feature on Tuesday, August 18. The event pairs local ghost investigation footage with a classic film screening.
The evening begins with a screening of the Ghost Encounters episode covering The Hanoverville Roadhouse. The episode presents audio and visual evidence captured in the building’s attic, second-floor apartment, main floor, and basement.
Following the episode, the drive-in will screen the horror movie Poltergeist. The event brings together a real local investigation and cinematic fiction on the big screen.
Justin Torok, creator and lead investigator of Ghost Encounters, noted that The Hanoverville Roadhouse produced compelling evidence for his team. He added that America’s oldest operating drive-in theater offers an ideal setting for sharing the investigation.
Team members Justin Torok, Jordan Baltzersen, and Hannah Wallner will be on-site at the Ghost Encounters tent. Attendees can meet the investigators, ask questions about the case, and discuss paranormal topics throughout the evening.
Ghost Encounters is a Lehigh Valley-based series and podcast that explores regional history and reported hauntings. The group uses historical research, scientific methods, and interviews to investigate local sites.
