Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom welcomed more than 4,600 local children and family members for its annual Day of Giving. The community initiative provides complimentary park admission and unique experiences for families served by regional nonprofit organizations. The event took place at the Allentown amusement park on June 7, 2026.
Dorney Park donated the total allotment of tickets to families participating through a dozen distinct nonprofit entities. The participating groups included the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, A Kid Again, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, and Camelot for Children. Additional tickets went to families associated with CHOR Youth & Family Services, Valley Youth House, and the Michael Ann and Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation.

The day’s events began with an official morning recognition ceremony that honored each participating organization for its community impact. Representatives from the various nonprofits joined park leadership on stage during the opening proceedings. The presentation highlighted the role of local community partnerships and the importance of providing families with opportunities to spend time together.
Following the morning ceremony, the invited families participated in a private, exclusive early ride experience. Attendees were then granted full access to the standard lineup of park rides, attractions, and shared activities throughout the remainder of the afternoon.
The recurring event functions as an annual tradition for the amusement venue. Park Manager Kim Solis stated that the program represents a meaningful part of the operating season and relies on collaborations with organizations that assist local children. The initiative is designed to support the surrounding region and reinforce corporate partnerships with non-profit groups dedicated to families across the area.
