A traveling history exhibition exploring regional innovation has opened in downtown Easton for a multi-day run. Presented by the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and the National Canal Museum, the showcase is titled “Dynamo! The Innovators, Inventors and Architects of Revolutionary Change.”
The exhibition is currently on display at the Grand Eastonian, located at 140 Northampton Street. Visitors can view the display at this downtown location through Saturday, July 11.
Following its initial downtown run, the exhibition will move to the Bank Street Annex at 316 Northampton Street for a special single-day appearance. This final stop is scheduled to coincide with the annual Easton Heritage Day celebration on Saturday, July 11.
The traveling museum experience utilizes five distinct themed kiosks categorized by industry, consumption, innovation, health, and the arts. The content highlights local visionaries, artists, and entrepreneurs whose ideas impacted fields ranging from commerce and science to medicine and education.
Funding for the traveling educational program is provided in part by the Gaming Tax Grant Program through the County of Northampton Department of Community and Economic Development. Additional state and federal support comes from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the National Park Service, and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
